In the beginning God made the heavens and the earth. He made trees, stars, animals, fish and
man. When He had created it all He said it was very good Genesis 1: 31. This tells us something
significant about the character of God. God is a creator who does not make shoddy works. God
made everything very good because He seeks for the best out of everything He touches. God
would not settle for average works, but instead He wanted the very best. When God had
created human beings he said that they too were a very good creation. This meant that you are

God wants you to be the best.
Being the best is not about competing with other human beings, but it is about harnessing all
your gifts and talents to bring the best out of you. Being the best is about rising up from failure,
shame, laziness and low self-esteem to manifest God’s glory through our lives here on earth.
God did not create people for misery, defeat and poverty, no. God however did create us for
the manifestation of his glory and goodness. God created us for the splendor of His glory. His
glory can only be revealed in us if we choose to be the best that we could ever be in life. God
has called us to be the best.
There are blessings in being the best in any given career. Tiger Woods is the best golfer and this
has made his one of the richest men on earth, Bishop TD Jakes is one of the best preachers and
this has made him one of the most successful and influential pastors on earth, Oprah Winfree is
one of the best journalists in the world and this has made her to be one of the most successful
women in the world. If you choose to be the best, prosperity and riches will follow you. People
who are the best in their careers do not need to chase after money, all they do is give out their
best and money follows them. Choose to be the best. Become the best father or mother that
your family could ever have, the best employee, the best doctor, the best nurse, the best
teacher, etc. God is calling you to be the best.
Bill Gates decided to be the best in Information Technology and produce computers that the
would had not yet known and this has led him to be one of the wealthiest men on earth. Why is
this so because God honors people who harness their skills and talents and choose to be the
best. Because Bill Gates decided to harness his gifts and be the best the world in now a better
place for you and I to live in. Because he chose to be the best, the GDP of his country has been
significantly increased because he chose to be the best. When you and I choose to be the best
the following will happen,

you will be able to help so many people on earth. - Being the best gives you honor and respect in your community. People always respect
people who are the best. If footballer Mercy came to Zambia today, even pastors would
line up to great him, why because he is good at what he does. - Being the best helps you live longer and healthier. You live a meaningful and fulfilled
life. - Being the best attracts money to people. In life people who are good at what they do
are chased by customers who are willing to pay big for their services. - Being the best inspires the next generation to do better than you, thereby passing on a
legacy. - Being the best is sweet. It takes way laziness, boredom and stress from your life.
